POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supply Chain Finance Cost Controller to join our team in Singapore. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting our manufacturing operations by providing financial analysis, cost accounting, and strategic insights related to supply chain finance. This position requires a strong understanding of manufacturing costing principles, standard costing methodologies, and supply chain finance accounting within the CDMO/ Chemical/ Pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, or financial analysis, preferably within the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry .
  • Strong knowledge of costing principles, standard costing methodologies, and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in financial modeling and analysis tools; experience with ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable. ERP implementation experience is a plus
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Manufacturing Cost Accounting, Analysis and Reporting:
  • Proficiency in cost accounting principles, including standard costing, variance analysis and overhead allocation
  • Analyze and report on manufacturing costs, variances, and profitability for API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) production
  • Prepare and maintain standard cost models, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards; rate development
  • Develop and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization
  • Experience in preparing financial reports and dashboards that provide insights into cost performance and operational efficiency.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare annual budgets and forecasts for manufacturing operations.
  • Monitor and analyze budget performance, providing insights and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Perform financial modelling to support strategic decision making
  • CDMO/ Pharmaceutical industry knowledge :
  • Basic understanding of the CDMO business model including project management, client and contract management
  • Familiar with API production processes and supply chain dynamics
  • Financial Compliance and Auditing:
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and external regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and insights related to cost accounting.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Proficiency in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for tracking costs, inventory, and financial data, such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • MES/WHS/MRP knowledge
  • Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling, data manipulation, and reporting.
  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) to analyze trends and visualize financial data.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance processes
  • Collaborate with teams to implement best practices in cost accounting and financial analysis.
