Job Summary: The Manufacturing Custodian at Reader Precision Solutions plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment throughout our modern precision machining facility. This individual is responsible for the general cleanliness and upkeep of the manufacturing floor, restrooms, and breakroom areas. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, operates with a sense of urgency, and understands the impact a clean and organized facility has on employee satisfaction and client impressions. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday: 4:00AM - 12:30PM with flexibility to work overtime when needed. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:   * Operate the industrial floor scrubber each morning to clean all epoxy flooring across the production facility. * Empty all trash bins within high traffic areas on the production floor including in the employee breakroom, restrooms, near entrances/exits to the building, and in production offices. * Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc.). * Restock supplies in breakroom and other shared employee areas as needed. * Assist with event setup and teardown for internal employee functions, meetings, or vendor visits. * Maintain cleanliness and organization in high-traffic production areas, breakrooms, and entryways. * Partner with the Continuous Improvement Manager to support 5S projects and continuous improvement initiatives on the manufacturing floor when time allows. * Conduct routine inspections to identify and address cleanliness, safety, and maintenance concerns. * Notify maintenance or management of any safety hazards, spills, or facility issues requiring attention. * Assist with seasonal facility needs, such as salting entrances in winter or cleaning fan/exhaust units. * Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure all tools and supplies are stored properly and safely. * Follow all safety guidelines, including use of PPE and chemical handling procedures. Skills & Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent required. * 2-3 years of experience in a janitorial or custodial role in an industrial, manufacturing, or warehouse setting preferred. * Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and carts. * Strong work ethic and self-motivation, able to work independently with minimal supervision. * Excellent time management and organizational skills. * Detail-oriented with a focus on cleanliness, order, and safety. * Basic understanding of workplace safety standards and OSHA regulations. * Good communication skills and a respectful, team-oriented attitude. Candidates must be able to lift 10 lbs frequently, 25 lbs regularly, and up to 50 lbs occasionally. Operation of custodial equipment, including a floor scrubber, will require extended periods of focused work. Must be comfortable working around industrial machinery and equipment, both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to noise, dust, solvents, and temperature variations. All necessary PPE and safety measures are provided.
