Description Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Manufacturing Data Entry Clerk to join our team at Thermo Vac. This position supports the Manufacturing, Engineering, and Production teams by ensuring accurate and timely entry, maintenance, and verification of manufacturing data within the company’s MRP system. The Manufacturing Data Entry Clerk plays a critical role in supporting daily manufacturing operations by maintaining data integrity, assisting with job setup and closure, and ensuring production documentation is accurate, complete, and traceable. This role helps ensure smooth workflow, reliable reporting, and compliance with internal quality and processing standards. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Work directly within the company’s MRP system to enter, update, and maintain job data, routings, work instructions, and internal part numbers. Accurately enter and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs), labor operations, and manufacturing notes as directed by Engineering or Manufacturing teams. Review customer purchase orders and enter required information into the MRP system for job setup, packing slips, and invoicing support. Assist with job tracking, status updates, and closure of job travelers, including data verification and basic reconciliation. Maintain accuracy, consistency, and traceability of manufacturing data within the MRP system. Verify data against source documents such as drawings, travelers, and customer requirements to ensure completeness and correctness. Communicate data discrepancies, missing information, or potential errors to appropriate personnel for resolution. Maintain organized electronic and hardcopy documentation in accordance with quality system and document control requirements. Support manufacturing and administrative teams with reporting, data cleanup, and continuous improvement initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations and data accuracy objectives. Experience & Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a data entry, administrative, or manufacturing support role preferred. Experience working with MRP, ERP, or manufacturing database systems preferred. Required Qualifications: Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis functions. Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to follow established processes, standards, and instructions consistently. Basic understanding of manufacturing terminology and workflows preferred. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production-driven deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Familiarity with Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, or job travelers. Experience working in an ISO 9001 / ISO 9100–certified manufacturing environment. Exposure to document control or quality system requirements. Work Environment & Physical Requirements: This role is primarily office-based with occasional interaction with the manufacturing shop floor. May require walking through production areas to gather or verify information. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when on the shop floor. Prolonged periods of computer and desk work are required.
