This role is available full-time for 37 hours per week Monday to Friday

PUTTING YOUR SKILLS TO USE
Using your diverse range of skills within the manufacturing facility, you’ll:
- Ensure the department uses its resources to efficiently and effectively deliver outputs of appropriate quality.
- Achieve targets for service delivery and meet performance criteria in support of these.
- Manage risks for resources, quality, technology and environmental factors that affect delivery.
- Develop the department to ensure it has access to the skills, knowledge and facilities required for successful delivery now and in the future.
- Develop the department to meet objectives defined in organisation plans.
- Develop and communicate the department’s future requirements for inclusion in strategic plans.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key partners.

You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and strategic direction of the department, leveraging your knowledge and skills to drive performance and innovation. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the development and management of your team, ensuring they’re equipped with the necessary skills and motivation to excel. By working closely with your Senior Team Leaders, who are responsible for delivery, you’ll ensure projects are completed on time and to the required standards.
You’ll set the strategic direction of the department which involves a comprehensive assessment of workforce capabilities, fostering innovation, and implementing efficiencies to enhance productivity. Balancing strategic initiatives with a strong focus on safety and compliance, you’ll ensure we’re always compliant with industry regulations and standards. Quality control – and meeting delivery deadlines – are paramount, so you’ll utilise your meticulous planning and coordination skills with various stakeholders.
An integral part of the wider manufacturing Senior Leadership Team, you’ll support your peers and contribute to the strategic goals of the organisation. And you’ll enjoy sharing your knowledge by coaching and mentoring the wider Senior Team Leads to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
To apply for this role, you’ll already have:
- In-depth experience in an engineering manufacturing environment.
