JOB DESCRIPTION: MANUFACTURING ADMINISTRATOR

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Manufacturing Administrator, with a strong manufacturing background, to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing work instructions for the factory floor, creating manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD, managing material stock levels, obtaining raw material quotations, and purchasing raw materials. Additionally, the role involves progressing purchase orders with suppliers, handling customer enquiries, administering customer orders, answering production queries, advising on production lead times, and organising the dispatch of finished goods.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • GCSE English grade C or 4.
  • GCSE Maths grade C or 4.
  • Manufacturing Apprenticeship pass or 5 years experience in a leadership role in manufacturing.
  • Please note these are the minimum qualifications that will be accepted.

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 2 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably with sheet metal products (if accompanied with a manufacturing Apprenticeship).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and workflow.

SKILLS:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good collaboration skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a busy environment.
  • Excellent documentation skills to maintain and update records.
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic and demanding environment.
