POSITION SUMMARY:

Seeking a hands-on, innovative Design Engineer with a strong mechanical background to join the engineering team. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical equipment for clients across multiple industries, with a preference for experience in sectors like aerospace, oil and gas, or comparable fields. The ideal candidate will have a solid track record in designing complex mechanical systems and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, preferably from a mid-sized manufacturing environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in a manufacturing setting. Experience in aerospace, oil and gas, or mid-sized equipment manufacturing is strongly preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) with a strong grasp of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes, such as welding, machining, and fabrication.
  • Project Experience: Proven ability to manage multiple design projects concurrently, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with an independent and proactive approach to overcoming design and manufacturing challenges.
  • Attributes: Self-motivated, practical, and goal-oriented with a “get it done” mindset. Comfortable working in a non-political environment and taking ownership of projects.
Responsibilities
  • Mechanical Design and Development: Design, model, and test mechanical systems and components to meet client specifications, quality standards, and industry regulations.
  • Manufacturing Collaboration: Collaborate closely with production and fabrication teams to ensure design feasibility, streamline manufacturing processes, and resolve engineering challenges.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed CAD drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications for both manufacturing and client review.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement design improvements, cost reductions, and efficiencies by leveraging project feedback and technological advancements.
