POSITION: Manufacturing Engineer - 3rd Shift

What You will Do:

  • Develop, produce, and modify process operation and assembly sheets. (Solumina preferred)
  • Knowledge of GD&T and can integrate within a production process. Keen understanding of B/P interpretation as it relates to specification requirements
  • Possesses a working knowledge of 3D modeling (NX preferred)
  • Capable of designing and 3D printing fixturing for manufacturing application
  • Experienced with basic manufacturing processes, methods, and techniques
  • Ability to mark-up requirements for fixtures, tools, and gages
  • Developed understanding of 5S & TPM methods for test rigs & equipment
  • Support supplier questions about fixtures and part requirements
  • Identify areas for improved product manufacturability, reduced product cost, or improved product reliability
  • Communicates technical subject matter proficiently, both written and verbally
  • Responds effectively in high-paced environment
  • Troubleshooting (cause & effect) must be a strength
  • Proficient in RCCA methodology and can own actions to drive down product non-conformance
  • Can rationalize and implement inspection methods and techniques
  • Skilled in project management and follows up on tasks daily
  • Create presentations based on process data and results to show opportunities for productivity improvements and cost savings
  • Ability to manage various project and process tasks related to product quality
  • Create all shadow boarding for necessary tooling

WORK REQUIREMENTS:

This role is considered an on-site, third shift position located in Windsor Locks, CT.

  • The role requires working the overnight shift from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, ensuring coverage and support for third shift.
  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
  • Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Citizenship requirement: Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required
Travel requirements: Due to the nature of the work, 5% of travel is required
