Description

We have a vacancy within our Engineering Department and are currently recruiting for the role of Production and Planning Engineer on the Day Shift. We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience seeking an opportunity to develop their skills and join a growing Organisation.
Shift Pattern: 39 hours each week with a flexible starting time between 07:00 and 08:00 Monday to Friday, with a flexible finish time between 16:00 and 17:00 Monday to Thursday, and on a Friday, a finish time of 12.00. You will be entitled to a 30-minute unpaid lunch break between 12:00 and 12:30 Monday to Thursday. Additionally, you will have a 10-minute paid break each morning Monday to Friday and a 10-minute paid break each afternoon Monday to Thursday.

Responsibilities

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Build relationships with target customers / suppliers.
  • Assessing enquiry against Accrofab capability, with escalation in cases of doubt.
  • Machining Mill & Turn
  • Fabrication and Press Brake Forming
  • Heat Treat
  • Investigate root cause of non-conforming parts. create internal Rework reports, update database, and maintain rework files (paper copies). ensure corrective action is carried out and preventative action has been implemented. Carry out minor reworks as required. Liaise with Quality to review NCR`s
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting and training to factory staff.
  • In conjunction with others support design of tooling and where appropriate draw up tooling 2D Drawings, dxf / Create templates, fixtures for production etc. / modify any existing tooling where required, source material for tooling, and launch tooling cards (Planning) Inclusive of 3D printing for rapid prototype product and fixtures.
  • Manage NPI – Reporting of FTT progress and coordinating activities by others to enable nominated NPI commitments to be met.
  • General support of manufacturing staff. (Trouble shooting & Training) and auditing activities to improve manufacturing process.
  • Utilise customer sourcing platforms for RFQ response and technical feedback such as Manufacturing acceptance, drawing review etc.
  • Ensure that routings accurately reflect the method/times of manufacture for company product. Update javelin and create route change requests.
  • Produce accurate quotations based on customer drawings against both fabricated and machined parts, utilising the existing quoting framework and processes within the team
  • Support with new and existing customers, including support of agreed new business opportunities and project management.
  • Support with administrative tasks, including contract review, updating tracker spreadsheets, routing request changes and auditing of part manufacturing time and costs.
  • Project management of customers parts and in-load projects to support NPDI

  • Research and familiarisation into new customer specifications to support the Business and the Engineering Team
