Manufacturing Engineer

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Participate in internal related workshops where specialized manufacturing knowledge is required
  • Be a consultant in the manufacturing day-to-day business for other colleagues
  • Process development and assembly sequencing (process flow chart) for new programs
  • Use industrial engineering methods to determine the assembly time (MTM/MTM Logistics)
  • Manufacture feasibility analysis (DFA/DFM) and PFMEA on new products
  • Plant and process layout for new products and plant launches (Autocad)
  • Support computer simulations of manufacturing operations (Supplied Service)
  • Perform cost analysis of product and process alternatives (investments and assembly time)
  • Write process specifications and make recommendations regarding ergonomic improvements based upon ergonomic expert.
  • Write specifications for manufacturing equipment and make recommendations for equipment procurement
  • Simulate continuous improvement process in plants (KAIZEN, DO IT and Lean) with the objective of MEQ
  • Work with SD-Teams to complete product launches
  • Monitor assembly equipment through production start-up
  • Stimulate TPM in new projects
  • Monitor and audit manufacturing best practices and standards in the plant
  • Improvement strategies: Participate and/or lead activities for manufacturing footprint analysis, continuous improvement of new and/or ongoing manufacturing process and lean manufacturing implementation
  • Standardize and implement manufacturing toolbox and provide the CMP for CPP
  • Create ODS/FAI
  • Rebalance current/new assembly processes and current running production lines
  • Follow Line Fundamentals in new/current processes.
  • Optimize material flow from goods receiving to assembly line, material to be presented to assembly operator so additional material handling is minimized for final operator
  • Participate in development of new packaging to support complete supply chain so additional handling is minimized and supports assembly operator
  • Experience in automation for logistics, for instance AGV/AGFs, is an advantage

Which qualifications are we looking for in potential employees?

  • Candidates should have an engineering degree or equivalent and 3 years related experience
  • 3 years Automotive Experience either Maintenance or Manufacturing
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Be a confident person who can build productive and effective working relationships
  • An understanding of all quality tools and techniques
  • Team player, cooperate and communicate within and with other departments
  • Fluent in Swedish and English
