Description

This position will focus on ensuring that all components of the manufacturing processes are optimized for efficiency, quality, safety, and robustness.
We are committed to providing salary ranges for all open positions. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on your experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity considerations.
The salary range for this position is: $70,000 - $90,000. This range reflects the base salary for this position. We have other benefits associated with this position which include: [outline benefits such as bonus, paid time off, 401K, medical, dental … etc.]

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering is preferred
  • Competency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Inventor, MiniTab
  • Proficiency in statistics and data analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Good organizational and self-management skills
  • Strong problem solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Lean/Six-Sigma experience is beneficial

  • Blend of office and production floor environment
  • Bedford is BRC food-safety certified
Responsibilities
  • As “Process Owner”, partner with operations leaders to develop, sustain, and continuously improve manufacturing processes to meet performance goals by:


    • Leading data collection, testing, and experimentation to develop solutions

    • Building and using process models to understand performance, capacity, and cost
    • Identifying ideal procedures and disseminating via documentation and training support
    • Modifying or procuring new equipment as needs dictate
    • Collaborating with production personnel to learn processes and affect change
    • Optimizing equipment/workspace layout, ergonomics, organization, and flow
    • Monitoring and analyzing production data to drive projects and goals
    • Engage with Safety and Quality teams to identify and address risks/deficiencies
    • Support the development, maintenance, and use of Bedford information systems and records for production (MES, ERP, other)
    • Serve as enterprise resource for improvement projects as assigned
    • Ensure ongoing compliance with safety, BRC, and ISO standards
    • Communicate with vendors, production staff, management personnel, and other departments regarding purchases, product and production specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status.
    • Facilitate product development efforts to test and launch new or modified products
    • Other duties as assigned
