Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the Advanced Composites Center in Hazelwood, MO! The Aerospace Composites Center has state-of-the-art enabled capabilities and operates to support Boeing’s Fighter Programs.

SECURITY CLEARANCE AND EXPORT CONTROL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance is required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor degree or higher in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
- Experience working directly in a manufacturing environment (fabrication or assembly factories
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Experience working in Aerospace
- Experience working technical improvement projects.
- Experience working with machined detail and assembly parts.
- Experience of 3d cad systems
- Experience of developing processes utilizing SAP or other ERP/MRP systems.
- ABET accredited engineering degree
Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies. Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
- Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build. Leads and implements manufacturing plans.
- Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
- Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices.
- Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
- Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule. Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
- Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies.
