QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years manufacturing experience in a production environment. BS in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Superior knowledge of manufacturing/machining of castings/billet material.
  • Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize duties and be self-directing.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.
  • Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Experience with CAD software.
    This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency. The U.S. export control regulations define a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), and certain categories of Asylees and Refugees.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot new or existing products problems involving designs, materials, or processes.
  • Investigate or resolve operational problems.
  • Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Apply continuous improvements methods such as 5S and lean manufacturing principles to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness.
  • Determine root causes of failures and recommend changes to design, tolerances, or process methods using statistical procedures.
  • Assist in design layout of equipment or workspaces to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Conduct initial review of new product for manufacturability.
  • Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
