Position Summary The Manufacturing Engineer drives operational excellence by leading medium- to high-complexity process improvement initiatives from concept through implementation. This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes, improving throughput, reducing defects, and supporting cross-functional teams. You’ll also lead root cause investigations, implement corrective actions, and mentor junior engineers and technicians to strengthen overall team capability. Key Responsibilities Lead process improvement projects from concept through implementation. Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions. Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality and production issues. Manage priorities independently and meet project timelines. Partner with customers and internal teams on manufacturability (DFM). Mentor junior engineers and support shop floor teams. Maintain accurate work instructions, routers, and BOMs. Process engineering and supplier change requests in compliance with requirements. Same great team. More opportunity. Bigger future. Requirements Required Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience. Minimum of 3 years of relevant manufacturing or process engineering experience. Minimum 2 years programming experience. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software. Hands-on CNC knowledge, including programming familiarity, CAM exposure, fixturing, and workholding. Proficient in GD&T, process capability (Cp/Cpk), SPC charts, and DFM principles. Demonstrated ability to design fixtures and workholding solutions. Strong technical writing and documentation skills. Experience with lean manufacturing tools (Kaizen, VSM, 5S) and Six Sigma methodologies. Additional Skills and Experience (preferred) Experience working in the Aerospace, Medical or other highly regulated industry. ISO13485, ISO9001, AS9100 experience. Knowledge of ERP software (Epicor), CAD/CAM Software (SurfCAM, Mastercam, Esprit, SolidWorks), and PDM software. Six Sigma Green Belt. SME Certified Manufacturing Engineer or Technologist.
