Description Manufacturing Engineer – Change Control & Engineering Support Location: Minneapolis–Saint Paul (MSP), Minnesota Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to serve as a key liaison between Engineering and Manufacturing Operations. This role will be responsible for managing and supporting the technical aspects of the Engineering Change Request (ECR) and Change Control processes while ensuring successful implementation of product and process changes within manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with SolidWorks and engineering design software, strong organizational and project management skills, and a proven track record supporting manufacturing operations and outsourced manufacturing partners. This individual will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to evaluate designs, implement engineering changes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. A successful candidate must be highly motivated, technically curious, and capable of quickly learning and developing a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of Aerosol Jet technology, manufacturing processes, equipment, products, and operational requirements. Key Responsibilities - Lead manufacturing support activities associated with ECRs and ECOs. - Work closely with Engineering teams to evaluate, review, and implement design changes. - Assess manufacturing impacts of design modifications and coordinate implementation plans. - Support manufacturing operations by resolving technical issues and driving corrective actions. - Manage change control documentation, work instructions, and manufacturing records. - Coordinate engineering change activities with internal teams and external manufacturing partners. - Conduct design reviews and manufacturability assessments. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives. - Support supplier and outsourced manufacturing operations. - Develop a strong understanding of Aerosol Jet technology and manufacturing processes. - Facilitate communication between Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain teams. Requirements Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field. - Minimum 8 years of manufacturing engineering experience. - Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks including 3D modeling, assemblies, engineering drawings, GD&T, redesign, and design evaluation. - Strong experience using CAD and engineering design software for product improvements. - Experience with Engineering Change Control processes (ECR/ECO). - Experience supporting outsourced or contract manufacturing operations. - Strong understanding of DFM, DFA, and continuous improvement methodologies. - Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies, products, and manufacturing processes. - Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills. - Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities.
