QUALIFICATIONS

As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering or a related field, with a strong emphasis on design principles and manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk or Inventor software for design, modeling, and analysis.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a background in design-related troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with production welding is an asset, enhancing understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with robotics is an asset, enabling seamless integration of automation technologies.
  • Automotive background is a plus but not required, with a focus on leveraging design expertise in manufacturing engineering roles.
  • Knowledge of LEAN and KAIZEN manufacturing methodologies, emphasizing continuous improvement and efficiency optimization.

Responsibilities:

As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will:

  • Diagnose and resolve issues on the shop floor related to manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives, applying principles such as LEAN and KAIZEN to identify and eliminate inefficiencies, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.
  • Utilize Autodesk and Inventor software for design, modeling, and analysis to optimize manufacturing processes and address technical challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and departments to address challenges, share insights, and implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying issues, develop corrective actions, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with environmental regulations and safety standards. Work to minimize the environmental impact of manufacturing activities and create a safe working environment for employees.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of troubleshooting processes, repairs, and implemented solutions.
  • Select appropriate materials, determining the best methods of production, ensuring that the processes are efficient and cost-effective.
  • Ensure the quality of manufactured products. Implement quality control systems, testing procedures, and inspecting protocols to identify and address any defects or deviations from quality standards.
  • Contribute to the planning of production schedules and capacity. Collaborate with other departments, including production, engineering, supply chain, and logistics, to ensure that the manufacturing processes and materials align with overall business goals and customer requirements.
  • Analyze the cost of production to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process optimization, and efficiency improvements while maintaining product quality standards.
