DPC holds market leading positions globally and delivers performance-critical solutions across the oil & gas, power generation, marine, industrial, chemical and general processing markets. We design and manufacture mission-critical equipment components to deliver more affordable, cleaner energy solutions and enable manufacturers to operate more efficiently.

SUMMARY:

The Manufacturing Engineer will primarily be responsible for production and shop floor support and improvement projects, resulting in increased throughput of the factory and successful cost reduction projects that deliver a positive impact to the sites P&L.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Time served in a machining discipline
  • Have relevant Health and Safety awareness
  • Ideally possess an HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE POSSESSES THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience within a lean-manufacturing work environment, minimum of 2 years in ME (or equivalent CAD CAM Engineer) position
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Must be fluent in CNC programming and have strong skills in various Microsoft Office packages.
  • Able to demonstrate successfully managed projects, from initial data gathering (VSM) through to implementation.
  • Customer focused
  • Demonstrated examples of significant cost saving projects delivered
  • Maintains a positive attitude in order to positively influence the process improvement activities throughout the organization
  • Searches for innovative solutions, drives continuous improvement whilst constantly raises the bar to stretch own level of achievement
  • Must be self-motivated and possess facilitation skills to be used in a team setting.
  • Recognizes and exhibits behaviours of the Dover Values including Integrity and Trust.
  • Possesses the ability to clarify complex situations

Responsibilities
  • Ensure support to shop floor operators
  • Manage production routings to ensure accuracy of system timings to aid in our capacity plan
  • Implement improvement projects to reduce cycle times to increase output of the shop floor
  • Creation of bills of material for manufactured components.
  • Aid Production Management in analysing manufacturing methods to lead to make vs purchasing decisions through our network of outsourced subcontractors
  • Protect and improve sites gross margin and P&L results through cost or time reduction projects
  • Eliminate hazards through sound engineering practices.
  • Attend various operating meetings to support various functions throughout the organization.
  • Actively participate in the improvement process with responsibilities of assisting with any preparation work and follow up activities/action items generated from CI events.
  • Identifies and implements solutions that lead to cost savings that are recorded within the productivity tracker.
  • Create CNC Programs as required in line with routing operations.
