Description
Implement Lean Manufacturing concepts and Lean tools throughout the enterprise, including Value Stream Mapping, structured problem solving, root cause analysis, 5s+, work instructions, etc. Evaluate, analyze and improve operations and engineering processes using fundamentally sound manufacturing principles to ensure excellence in safety, efficiency, productivity, cost reduction and quality. Initiate, develop and lead capital improvement projects including manufacturing equipment, facility enhancements and new product start-ups. Support new product development with manufacturing feasibility and industrialization activities including production layout, materials and costing for new products. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited educational institution 1 years' experience or internship in an engineering function AutoCAD system experience and required working knowledge and experience with computers Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing engineering in a high mix / low volume manufacturing environment Advanced degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications Position Criteria: Knowledge of a wide variety of manufacturing processes including assembly and pull systems. Technical understanding and experience with Lean Manufacturing Systems and Six Sigma methodology.
