Boeing Commercial Airplanes is hiring Entry Level or Associate Manufacturing Engineers to support production in Portland, OR. Successful candidates will have the ability to learn in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to collaborate with both the engineering teams and mechanics on the factory floor.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Willingness to work weekend shifts, variable hours, and overtime as needed to support production.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 1 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience working in a production environment.
  • 1 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience using AutoCAD and/or CATIA
Responsibilities
  • Supports the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies.
  • Participates as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to support the integration of technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
  • Supports the development, identification and implementation of conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build.
  • Participates in the implementation of manufacturing plans. Investigates technical problems.
  • Participates in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies. Interfaces with IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience.
