Summary
Responsible to increase productivity and efficiency through the application of engineering principles to improve equipment, components, fixtures, operations, and procedures relating to the production process and the quality of the product.

Job Duties

  • Lead Kaizen / CI projects to improve plant efficiency through; root cause analysis, cycle time reduction, OEE improvement, and labour savings.
  • Give leadership, guidance and training to team members while ensuring KPI targets are met or exceeded.
  • Provides leadership and expertise to production, quality, and maintenance teams for tackling issues related to manufacturing.
  • Provides methods, instructions, and training to ensure the successful operation of equipment, tools, fixtures, and control systems.
  • Participate in equipment design for capacity improvements or new business opportunities.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures supporting the quality management system, environmental management system, and health and safety.

Requirements

  • Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering / Technology.
  • Two to Five years’ automotive manufacturing experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of machine design and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of; robotics, ergonomics, safety systems, pneumatics, laser cutting, MIG, CAD, and resistance welding.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
