Description
Provide EOL manufacturing engineering leadership throughout a new model development program from KO through launch. Ensure compliance to the GVOSS (Global Vehicle Operations Structured Standards) and Ergonomic standards for EOL test system installations. Develop and implement improvements to EOL software (SW) and hardware (HW) using data from the EOL Dashboard Reporting Systems. Assist in preparation of NMP management reviews; perform data collection to support the presentation. Support change control to evaluate product change impact on EOL test equipment costs and labor Provide onsite prototype build support at North American Manufacturing Assembly Plants. Coordinate all pre-launch EOL validation events from DCV through MP2. Assist plant & implementation teams in resolving EOL performance issues. Assist in the training of manufacturing personnel and plant repairmen when required. Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing), or Similar Technical degree Strong computer skills (Excel, Power Point, etc.) Strong verbal & written communication and presentation skills. Ability to operate in stressful situations within timing constraints. Ability to work with minimal direct supervision Extended travel to assembly plants in US, Canada, and/or Mexico required 3-5+ years of experience supporting new product launches 3-5+ years of experience with automated testing systems Automotive manufacturing experience (in assembly plant) / supplier project management skills Familiarity with IT plant infrastructure (network design and server applications), computer HW/SW, wireless technologies. Experience w/tooling, processes and facilities Working knowledge of diagnostics and vehicle repair Understanding of PFMEA and Failure Mode Avoidance principles Working knowledge of Statistics (control charts, data collecting, etc.) Experience in one or more of the following: Interior, Exterior, Chassis, Powertrain, Electrical, Water test, End of Line
