Description
Assist new product introduction to manufacturing and released product support. Perform manufacturing engineering assignments associated with the integrity of product design to assure quality and cost effective production. Advise engineering of existing production capabilities, equipment, facilities and standard practices to contribute to the development of designs. Coordinate with support groups to ensure capabilities and capacities are developed to support new products. Ensure efficient manufacturing through achieving quality, cost, operating specifications, customer and company standards and requirements. Apply Lean manufacturing principles to improve production processes and achieve cost reduction. Plan, define and implement new manufacturing systems as needed for new product introductions. Responsible for managing and implementing projects of varying complexity and scope. Ensure integrity of existing manufacturing documents and take ownership for creation of new manufacturing documentation. Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university Minimum of 3 years of related experience Knowledgeable with components of Lean Manufacturing. Root cause analysis using various Problem-Solving methodologies Leadership experience within a team, project or job Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing work and delivering results Comfortable working problems of moderate scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors Exercise judgment within procedures and practices to determine appropriate action SolidWorks and/or Pro Engineer (ProE) experience a plus Demonstrated ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings required Experience working in a metric/goal driven environment Hands-on approach / experience with manufacturing processes preferred Strong communication, interpersonal skills; effectively present information and respond to feedback at any level within the organization.
