Description At GSA, we specialize in the design and manufacture of high-quality wire harness assemblies that serve the automotive, aerospace, and industrial sectors. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manufacturing Engineer to optimize our wire harness assembly processes and support production excellence. This is a fully onsite position, located in Morgan Hill, CA. Relocation is not offered. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, maintain, and optimize wire harness assembly processes, work instructions, and documentation. • Support design-to-production transitions by reviewing schematics and ensuring manufacturability. • Define tooling, equipment, and materials requirements for harness production. • Provide on-floor assistance to manufacturing technicians during assembly and troubleshooting. • Establish and refine assembly sequences and jigs for consistent quality and efficiency. • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues. • Develop and oversee testing protocols for wire harness assemblies. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, quality, and supply chain to drive continuous improvement. Requirements Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field or equivalent experience. • 3+ years in wire harness or cable assembly manufacturing engineering required. Preferably in aerospace, automotive, or defense industries. • Proficiency with electrical schematics and CAD tools (CATIA, Creo, SolidWorks) preferred. • Experience with industry standards such as IPC/WHMA-A-620. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Ability to lead process improvements and support teams on the floor. • Fluent in English required; fluency in Spanish &/or Vietnamese also helpful.
