JOB SUMMARY

Greyter Water Systems offers industry-proven water reuse solutions that create water efficient buildings and homes, address water scarcity, and reduce water costs. We created and produce the award-winning Greyter HOME water recycling system (Best Green Building Product Winner – NAHB-IBS 2017). By capturing and treating grey water from showers and bathtubs, the Greyter HOME is the single greatest water savings appliance for the home.
Greyter Water Systems is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team as we scale up our production. This is a full-time on-site role for our new Burlington, Ontario facility. The ideal candidate will develop and execute a new assembly process for our soon to be released next generation Greyter HOME. The Manufacturing Engineer will continually evolve the production line as it ramps up from initial volumes to thousands of units per year.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in assembly or production, preferably in the aerospace or automotive sectors
  • Experience with the implementation of Lean principles

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills especially with mechanical systems
  • SolidWorks experience preferred

    Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement efficient assembly processes for a low/medium volume production assembly line of the Greyter HOME.
  • Define and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for assembly processes, ensuring clarity and adherence to safety standards.
  • Design and validate fixtures, jigs, and tooling required for assembling components such as controls, pumps, filters, valves, tanks, and fittings/piping.
  • Analyze and improve workflow to ensure smooth integration of components, minimizing assembly cycle times while maintaining quality.
  • Balance workstation loads and implement Lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
  • Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement by collecting feedback from production staff and addressing bottlenecks in the assembly line.
  • Develop quality control checkpoints within the assembly process to ensure product consistency and adherence to specifications.
  • Conduct time studies and ergonomic assessments to optimize assembly tasks.
  • Train assembly line operators and technicians on new processes, tools, and fixtures.
  • Provide regular reports on process performance metrics, including throughput, yield, and defect rates.
