H3 Manufacturing is a leading integrated manufacturing solutions provider specializing in precision machining, laser cutting, sheet metal fabrication, complex welding, assembly, surface finishing, painting, and powder coating. With three state-of-the-art facilities spanning 165,000 square feet across Illinois, we serve high-spec markets including power generation, healthcare, electrical power distribution, aerospace and defense, life sciences, and more.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead our manufacturing engineering efforts. This role will involve driving process improvements, deploying new equipment, managing manufacturing capabilities, and facilitating employee training initiatives.

DEPLOYMENT OF NEW EQUIPMENT & CAPABILITIES:

  • Manage the installation, testing, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment and technologies.
  • Assess new equipment and technologies, making recommendations for purchase to improve manufacturing capabilities.
  • Oversee the integration of new equipment into existing operations to ensure smooth transitions and minimal downtime.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, with a focus on process improvement, equipment deployment, and cost reduction.
  • Experience in a high-spec industry such as aerospace, defense, healthcare, or power generation is a plus.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, assembly, and fabrication.
  • Expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and engineering tools.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and train shop floor employees effectively.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel between the three Illinois sites (Champaign, Fisher, Schaumburg) as needed.
  • Must be at least 18 and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Must be able to perform the physical requirements with or without accommodations
