The position supports innovation, product performance, and production efficiency to ensure Pavati continues to set the standard in the industry. Requirements Duties & Responsibilities Design and document mechanical components (sheet metal and machined) and the assemblies composed of them Creation of bills of material and other data entry/retrieval with our MRP Design tooling for assembling above components Specify and select off-the-shelf components Designing and conducting component/assembly/product tests, and documenting test results Interface with welding and assembly departments to communicate design needs and assembly processes Become intimate with ABYC standards and make sure that designs conform to those standards Assist running rapid prototyping machines Participate in creation and maintenance of project schedules Preferred Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another maritime related field. Experience conducting product development from conception to production. General familiarity with marine industry. Familiar with using 3D printing or other rapid prototyping technology. Experience with FEA or CFD Experience exercising principles of lean manufacturing Experience with sheet metal design 3 years of experience Engineering experience. 2 years of experience with SolidWorks. Surface modeling experience in either Rhino or SolidWorks
Responsibilities
This role involves designing and documenting mechanical components, assemblies, and bills of material, while also creating tooling for assembly processes. The engineer will conduct testing, interface with production departments, and ensure designs conform to ABYC standards.
