· Analyze manufacturing processes and collaborate with process SMEs to identify solutions related to materials, processes, controls and mechanical design issues.
· Optimize system of drawing standards across the product line.
· Works with Supply Chain to standardize major components within defined categories.
· Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives to drive process improvements.
· Implement standard operating work and best practices to ensure consistent and efficient operations.
· Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track the impact of continuous improvement activities.
· Participates in process testing to identify customer requirements that contribute to the continuous improvement program.
· Participates in machine run-offs; ensures that designs are followed, and discrepancies are resolved.
· Evaluates the product overall performance, safety and reliability.
· Supports the change order process; verify that process is well-documented and followed.
· Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
· Support the Design Team on new product development initiatives; providing analysis of costs and design efficiencies.
· Creates Bills of Materials (BOMs), travelers, and manufacturing drawings.
· Execute design transfer projects by conducting the cost of the components and preparing quotes.
