QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
  • Experience assembling machinery or hardware
  • Experience troubleshooting manufacturing or mechanical problems

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:

  • Experience with technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE)
  • Experience with automated tooling, machinery and programming
  • Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines
  • Innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement and keeps pace with advances in technology
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills with fine attention to detail and ability to successfully multitask

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

In this 2nd Shift role, your responsibilities may include the following:

  • Assisting in the development of Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool, and fixture designs
  • Supporting process troubleshooting and incorporation of engineering changes into the MDP
  • Dispositioning non-conforming material with root cause and corrective action analyses
  • Driving Continuous Improvement through process improvements to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate, reduce costs (both direct and indirect) using Core/Six Sigma principles and data driven decision making
  • Providing real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators; in-house as well as the supply base.
  • Helping with Tool/fixture development to drive ergonomics into processes
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance.
