SUMMARY

Develops manufacturing processes that achieve maximum process and cost efficiency while achieving performance and quality standards. Determines cost and routes for newproduct andmaintains current productsrecords structure to ensure effective control of documentation.  Assures operational readiness;determines factory capability, workflow, space requirements, and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experiencerequired
  • 3+ years related work experiencerequired
  • Good mechanical aptitude along with good computer literacy and skillsrequired
  • Experience in injection molding strongly preferred
  • 3D CAD systems knowledgerequired,Solidworks preferred
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles are a plus
Responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities for and implement improvements in current practices and processes and work with team to develop/maintain continuous improvement culture and awareness.
  • Conduct product and process flow analysis and implement improvements for costs,productivity and quality.
  • Direct and coordinate the engineeringsupport to implement, plan, develop and organize product area
  • Drivethe development and implementation of the safety policies and quality policies
  • Drives application of the ITW Toolbox& Root Cause Corrective Action
  • Develop assembly machine parameters andmaintain standard set up sheets for each part number on the machines, along with troubleshooting problems
  • Follow up on quality reject meetings by addressing immediate quality issues an develop systems to prevent future occurrences
  • Resolve issues related to personnel, profitability, quality, growth, etc.
  • Conduct machine safety reviews along withidentifying and ensuring preventative maintenance on automatedequipment for continuous improvement
  • Work with manufacturing and automation personnel to improve quality and efficiency on the production floor
  • Assist with new product design process to ensure ease of manufacturability
  • Participate in manufacturing and automation projects, including creating and updating PFMEA documents
  • Submit capital requirement and justifications to management
  • Other duties as assigned
