Description
Work may include problem solving equipment, generating validation data/reports, project management. This role follows an onsite work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at least four days per week. Corporate housing and relocation are available for those who are eligible. Your responsibilities will include: Reduce scrap and increase product output for particular manufacturing lines and processes Aid in development of new products and processes Process Improvement of existing processes and products Work with most modern technology in the industry Integrate technology with people to achieve real-world solutions Collaborate and gain experience from a diverse cross-functional team Gain better understanding by applying academic knowledge to a real-world problem set Current rising junior or rising senior (grad dates between Dec 2026 - May 2028), graduating senior (May 2026 grad) continuing on to grad school, or current grad student. Must have at least one semester of school left post-internship to qualify. Pursuing a degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing, Biomedical/Bio, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or Material Sciences. Must be able to start internship on May 18th or 26th, 2026 and work for 12 weeks Must have reliable transportation to/from work. Former BSC Intern Experience with SolidWorks Experience with Minitab or MATLAB Experience with design and making prototypes in a work setting Experience with Lean Manufacturing in a work setting Experience with injection molding Experience in Medical Device industry Self-starter with the ability to identify improvement opportunities Knowledge of analytical techniques and statistical analysis
Responsibilities
