Description Supervisor’s Title: VP of Operations Exempt or Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt Location: Must be available to work at the Burnsville, MN office Compensation: The expected base hourly wage for this Minnesota-based position is $24-25. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and or experience. Basic Function The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will work on multiple manufacturing assignments aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of both disposable and hardware manufacturing. Areas included are manufacturing documentation, process flows, inventory control, process and test development, and fixtures. This position is responsible for complying with the Company’s Quality System requirements and carrying out responsibilities as outlined in the environmental, health, and safety policies. Responsibilities · Reviews manufacturing processes and improves documentation to drive efficiency and improve quality outcomes. • Accomplishes assigned tasks that stem from manufacturing and operations project initiatives such as Shaft Manufacturing. • Works with cross-functional team members to ensure effective and efficient implementation and execution of operations in manufacturing. • Supports day-to-day investigating and solving problems in manufacturing. • Introduces improvements to the current process, documents, MP’s, Travelers, and BOM structures in FishBowl. • Supports the Safety program as needed. • Other duties as assigned. Requirements Qualifications · Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering (Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing). Preference given to candidates entering Junior or Senior year of coursework. · Problem-solving and strong communication and interpersonal skills. · Strong attention to detail, including analytical and problem-solving skills. · Comfortable working with team members in other departments, such as quality or regulatory. · A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to carry out all manners of tasks, from the mundane to complex and challenging. Working Conditions · Light work, exerting up to 20 lbs. of force or less. · Requires clarity of vision at 20 inches or less (near vision) and ability to identify/distinguish colors. · Steady work pace, multiple priorities, and deadlines.
