Position Summary: This position is an intern position for Manufacturing Engineering. The position is designed to allow students the opportunity to learn and apply industrial/manufacturing engineering techniques in a manufacturing environment. This role consists of full-time employment in the Summer of 2026 and part-time employment during the school year. Students will gain experience in: · Solid Works · AutoCAD · Plant Layout · Time study · CNC Machining · Lean Manufacturing techniques · Working with all levels and disciplines in a manufacturing environment · Project Management Principal Responsibilities: · Assist manufacturing engineers in developing standard work including work instructions and time studies. · Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma tools, and structured problem-solving methodologies. · Assist manufacturing engineers with production projects including new equipment selection and purchase. · Evaluate production flow and implement layout adjustments to improve efficiency and safety. · Support the development and implementation of manufacturing process for new product development. · Work with teams to solve or improve production processes. · Other duties as assigned Education & Experience: Currently enrolled in an accredited institution working on completion of Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent. Work experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage. Physical Requirements and work Environment: The environment is mostly office but may include a shop environment that is noisy and dirty. This position will be a part-time internship up to 40 hours per week during the summer. This position will be based onsite at our Duluth, MN facility. You must be able list up to 40 pounds. While performing these duties the individual is regularly required to sit, use finger tools and reach with hands and arms. Responsibilities
