JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and devices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to bring innovative concepts

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in machining and/or fabrication is highly desired.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD), particularly SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with Lean principles, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies; Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is advantageous.
    This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical skills in manufacturing engineering, the ability to drive process improvements, and a commitment to quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and possess excellent problem-solving abilities to contribute effectively to our team’s success.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance processes, tooling, machines, and equipment to improve quality and output.
  • Establish efficient sequences of operations for products to optimize equipment and labor utilization.
  • Create project budgets, schedules, and identify technical risks, critical path items, and opportunities.
  • Generate and update standard work documentation such as work instructions, travelers, and visual aids.
  • Compile comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOMs) for multiple complex product lines.
  • Lead the transition from research and development to production, including managing first articles and qualifying new equipment and processes.
  • Implement Lean concepts to ensure stable, high-quality products and processes.
  • Investigate and demonstrate new technologies aimed at cost reduction.
  • Resolve issues promptly with a hands-on approach to support company objectives.
  • Manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment, considering the impact of decisions.
  • Utilize strong problem-solving skills to gather, analyze, and interpret data from various sources.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding issues and proposed corrective actions.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
