Hours: Mon – Fri, 39hrs per week

The Role

 

As a key member of the manufacturing team, you will focus on improving assembly processes, increasing productivity, and ensuring production activities are supported by robust systems, accurate data, and effective shop floor practices.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing processes and visual work instructions
  • Create process documentation and control systems for assembly operations
  • Drive quality improvements and support a no fault forward culture
  • Develop KPI boards, visual management tools, and performance reporting
  • Support Kaizen, Lean and 6S improvement activities
  • Identify and eliminate waste to improve productivity and efficiency
  • Design and implement jigs, fixtures, tooling and assembly aids
  • Manage tooling requirements, shadow boards and tooling registers
  • Design and improve factory layouts using CAD software
  • Conduct root cause analysis and support A3 problem-solving activities
  • Evaluate engineering change requests and implement approved changes
  • Maintain and update production routings within SAP
  • Review build times and identify opportunities for process improvement

 

About You

 

  • Previous experience in a Manufacturing Engineer position or similar role
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques
  • Experience using SAP within a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar CAD software
  • Experience creating work instructions, VSMs and FMEA documentation
  • Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills
  • High attention to detail with a practical and proactive approach

As Manufacturing Engineer, you will responsible for leading the work-related development of new manufacturing processes.

Working from their manufacturing facility in Warwickshire, the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Develop and standardise documentation from concept to production.
  • Work with the cross functional teams
  • Maintain list of equipment suppliers with Purchasing Department
  • Identify new suppliers and verify capabilities
  • Summarise equipment and installation costs for quoting new business
  • Standardise components to minimise spare parts inventory costs
  • Lead the CAPEX based on purchasing of equipment and facilitate timing and budget
  • Lead major projects installations for other functions such as maintenance
  • Lead Machine FMEA and PFMEA for major equipment
  • Apply AQPQ Product Methodology
  • Create Cycle grams & Utilisation charts per process
  • Cost Analysis & Budget control

The successful candidate should have a minimum of HNC/HND in Manufacturing and/or Engineering and proven experience in Manufacturing or Production Engineering roles.
