REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of professional experience in a production and manufacturing facility
  • Proficiency in mechanical assembly methods, electrical integration, testing and troubleshooting
  • Strong hands-on experience with pilot and high-volume manufacturing, and the transition between
  • Proven track record of data-driven methodology to solve multi-faceted problems
  • Ability to remain highly productive and organized while managing competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Experience using 2D cad tools for conceptual line design (AutoCAD) and 3D design for mechanical equipment, fixturing, and tooling (Inventor preferred)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a production and manufacturing facility
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor
  • Strong QC/inventory and materials tracking experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems for inventory management
  • Prior experience assisting with new software implementation
  • Ability to pass forklift certification and operate forklift

Responsibilities

ROLE:

M2X Energy is seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Rockledge, FL. In this role, you’ll optimize designs for manufacturability, improve assembly processes, and implement design simplifications across structural frames, process piping, and electrical systems. You’ll collaborate closely with Process, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to bring our gas-to-liquid conversion and biogas cleanup systems from concept to deployment.
This is a fast-paced, high-impact position with strong career growth potential. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, can take ownership of subsystems, and has a passion for developing scalable solutions that address climate change.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Collaborate with process, mechanical, and electrical engineers to translate P&IDs and 3D designs into efficient, repeatable fabrication and assembly workflows.
  • Design and implement manufacturing work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and assembly guides for fabrication technicians and contractors.
  • Specify and source manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and jigs to improve build accuracy and reduce cycle time for skidded or trailer-mounted units.
  • Scale up production from prototype to low- and mid-volume manufacturing, identifying bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities for automation or pre-fabrication.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing defects or process deviations during system build and test.
  • Implement Quality Control procedures across inventory, subassemblies, and completed assemblies
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry-specific regulations (e.g., ASME, NEC, OSHA) in all manufacturing processes and documentation.
  • Coordinate FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) logistics and readiness, including piping integrity, wiring checks, pressure/leak testing, and control system verification.
  • Implement component lifecycle tracking from procurement through installation and field performance
  • Work with existing vendors on improving component selection and quality
