Job Description Summary Focusing on Design for Assembly/Manufacturability, Manufacturing process adherence with respect of Industrial Handbook, Establish process for new product line, Improve existing processes by providing manufacturing aids like Jigs/fixtures/tools, Technical input on special process at supplier end. Close coordination with cross functional teams and support to executes within a well-defined operations framework. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Driving Manufacturing productivity, efficiency improvement and manufacturing cost out projects. Participate and provide input at tender stage for Labour hour estimation, manufacturing capability and limitation along with mitigation action. Drives in development of Jigs/fixture & tooling to enhance and ease the manufacturing process and ensure its implementation. Industrial Handbook audit and update for manufacturing process adherence. Identify the gaps in existing process and prepare the required work instructions, procedures and other related documents for the gaps and new process. Benchmarking and implementing the best practices from the industry. Drives Process FMEA for the various manufacturing process and support in DFMEA. Participate & share manufacturing lessons learned in Gate reviews (Engineering & Manufacturing), participate in shop production launch review. Facilitate to drive Lean, Digital and Visual management deployment in all manufacturing engineering activities on the shop floor. Support in CAPEX related project activities from analyzing the Capex requirement, its justification, related approvals and execution. Facilitates in New product development initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Mechanical /Industrial/ Electrical from an accredited university or college. Minimum 5+ years of experience in transformer manufacturing industry. Strong domain knowledge of high voltage (400 KV & above) transformer manufacturing process. Exposure of CAPEX expansion projects. Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to lead small programs / projects. Ability to document, plan and execute projects & programs. Good verbal and written skills in English. Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Being able to think critically and using good judgment.
