Description PRIMEdge is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with 1–3 years of experience who enjoys working at the intersection of mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and production-floor problem solving. This role offers real ownership, not just support work. You’ll spend roughly 50% of your time on the shop floor, working directly with equipment and production teams, and the remaining time in SolidWorks and process development, improving how our products and machines are built. If you enjoy seeing your designs and improvements immediately impact production, this role is for you. Key Responsibilities Optimize and support industrial sharpening equipment to improve performance, consistency, and throughput Design and refine machine components, tooling, and blade-related parts using SolidWorks Create and maintain 2D manufacturing drawings for fabrication and inspection Identify production inefficiencies and lead practical improvements to reduce scrap, rework, and downtime Troubleshoot mechanical issues on the production floor and implement permanent solutions Support equipment setup, process validation, and new product or process introductions Update legacy drawings, documentation, and work instructions Collaborate closely with production, quality, and operations teams Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across domestic and global operations Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial environment Strong working knowledge of CAD (SolidWorks preferred) Comfortable working hands-on with machines, tooling, and production equipment Solid understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, grinding, or mechanical assembly Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
