Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving product quality, and supporting the launch of new product. The ideal candidate has experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of mechanical systems and industrial processes.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably with industrial equipment or similar mechanical products)
  • 5+ years of experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen
  • Familiarity with metal fabrication, and assembly processes
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach
  • Great work ethic and attendance
  • Effective communication, project management, and organizational skills
  • Computer proficiency, including MS Office. Experience with CAD software preferred.
  • Willingness to follow all safety protocols and procedures
    Hours: 6:00am 3:30pm Monday through Thursday, 6:00am 10am Friday (overtime hours as needed)
Responsibilities
  • Apply lean/continuous improvement methodologies to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and maximize efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain standardized work procedures to ensure consistency and quality in all manufacturing processes.
  • Work directly with Production and Fabrication teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging regular feedback.
  • Identify, evaluate, and integrate new technologies as they can be applied to Mi-T-M operational processes.
  • Apply DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) principles to optimize manufacturability of products.
  • Coordinate the launch of new products by preparing necessary equipment and process documentation.
  • Perform time studies to identify inefficiencies, verify proper costing, and validate productivity improvements.
  • Troubleshoot real-time manufacturing issues and work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve them.
  • Contribute to plant layout planning and workflow optimization.
  • Ensure and promote safety and environmental compliance throughout manufacturing processes.
  • Execute other duties as assigned to support company KPI’s.
