Position Details

Position: Assistant Manager Manufacturing Engineering

Department: Maintenance

Reporting To: DGM Maintenance / VP Operations

Location: Sharjah, United Arab Emirates

Job Purpose

To lead and drive Manufacturing Engineering initiatives by optimizing production processes, improving operational efficiency, implementing automation, and supporting plant engineering activities to achieve world-class manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capacity planning and production optimization.
  • Equipment sourcing, procurement, commissioning, and installation.
  • Line layout development and implementation of single-piece flow systems.
  • Tooling and fixture development for coil manufacturing processes.
  • Planning and execution of continuous improvement projects.
  • Plant engineering, utilities management, and infrastructure optimization.
  • Equipment maintenance planning and implementation.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and automation systems on Chinese, European, and American machinery.
  • Implementation of plant automation initiatives.
  • Industrial Engineering activities including OEE, Takt Time, Cycle Time, and productivity improvements.
  • Exposure to AI-based manufacturing solutions and robotic automation.
  • Support operational excellence and cost-reduction initiatives.

Education & Experience

Qualification:

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, Production, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

8 15 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Plant Engineering, or Production Engineering.

Minimum 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.

Experience in high-volume component manufacturing industries.

Preferred Industries:

HVAC, Automotive, Electronics, Engineering Manufacturing, or related sectors.

  • Strong experience in line layout design and equipment sourcing projects.
  • Sound understanding of Industrial Engineering concepts and implementation.
  • Knowledge of Plant Engineering, Utilities, and Maintenance Systems.
  • Hands-on experience with tooling, fixtures, and modern manufacturing practices.
  • Exposure to automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
