Owen Daniels are supporting a leading manufacturing company, and we are looking for aManufacturing Engineer / Machine Shop to join on a permanent basis, due to growth in the business.




Manufacturing Engineer / Machine Shop – Key responsibilities:


  • Work closely with machine shop teams, applying strong knowledge of CNC, manual machining, grinding and other manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to develop new products and prototypes using Design for Manufacture principles.
  • Use SolidWorks CAD/CAM to design tooling and fixtures while providing technical support to production teams.
  • Identify and implement new machinery, equipment and processes.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects to improve quality, efficiency and processes while reducing costs.



Manufacturing Engineer / Machine Shop - Essential Skills & Experience:


  • Possesses a high standard of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively to changing situations under pressure.
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Takes pride in delivering high-quality work, meeting commitments and contributing positively as part of a team.
  • Ability to implement efficient manufacturing processes that drive continuous improvement while minimising material waste.
