  • Operate and program Amada resistance welding systems for bus bar attachment and structural bonding.
  • Create process documentation, work instructions, and inspection criteria for production teams.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve bonding/welding defects.
  • Define equipment requirements, perform capability studies, and ensure calibration of bonding/welding tools.
  • Train technicians on solar cell handling, ESD safety, and precision equipment operation.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace standards (NASA, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001) and cleanroom protocols.

Qualifications for the Solar Array Manufacturing Engineer include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in solar array manufacturing, wire bonding, or microelectronics.
  • Proven expertise with Hesse ultrasonic bonding and Amada resistance welding systems.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom operations and ESD controls.
  • Strong understanding of photovoltaic cell assembly and space-grade component handling.
  • Experience with aerospace quality standards (NASA, ESA, IPC).
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass a background check.

Compensation for the Solar Array Manufacturing Engineer include:

  • Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000 depending on experience
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays
