MANUFACTURING ENGINEER – STAMPING OR DIE CASTING & PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Location: Southwest Atlanta, GA area
Compensation: Competitive base salary + Bonus + Full Benefits + 401k with 100% match to 5%

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven Manufacturing Engineering experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
  • Tooling experience and proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks)
  • Strong Project Management skills – able to run projects from start to finish
  • Automation experience including robotics and PLCs
  • Hands-on experience with stamping or high-pressure die casting (zinc or aluminum)
  • Will also consider plastic injection molding or foundry experience
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production, high-quality output, and the integration of new technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design production tooling using 2D & 3D software (SolidWorks)
  • Develop and implement productivity improvements for existing production lines
  • Perform root cause analysis using Lean tools and statistical methods
  • Lead the design and implementation of new production processes and product design changes
  • Conduct FMEAs for new and existing products
  • Review designs for manufacturability and process optimization
  • Lead design review meetings and design of experiments (DOE) initiatives
  • Create work instructions, statements of work, and spare parts inventories
  • Implement automation solutions including robotics, vision systems, fixturing, gauging, and machine design
