At STELIA North America, we are offering the opportunity for a career that is out of this world! We are currently seeing a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in beautiful Lunenburg, NS. An affiliate of the Airbus Group of Companies, STELIA is an aerospace and defence company specializing in the design, development, and manufacturing of composite components and assemblies. Headquartered in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, and with a site in Mirabel, Quebec, we operate in more than 150,000 sq feet of facilities dedicated to operations, manufacturing and administration.
As Manufacturing Engineer, you will provide engineering support, direction and guidance in the fabrication of production parts in accordance with (IAW) the customer requirements, and liaise with Operations, Programs, Engineering and the customer. With your manufacturing experience you will recommend production line improvements using lean manufacturing philosophies. You have the ability work with production teams to problem solve manufacturing challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate activities internally and with the customer, to evaluate and resolve engineering-related production items encountered in assigned processes and programs.
  • Maintain Configuration Control of assigned products and processes.
  • Updating and implementation of Product Definition with Production Technical Leaders.
  • Serve as member of the Material Review Board.
  • Provide direction with respect to acceptance of product and selection/approval of rework.
  • Review production processes, engineering specifications and related information to improve current knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures and activates in assigned products and processes.
