Description

MANUFACTURING ENGINEER REQUIRED FOR AN EYEWEAR MANUFACTURER BASED IN BRENTFORD.

The ideal candidate will have some experience in a similar role but industry experience is not essential as extensive training will be provided.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of similar manufacturing processes, be able to learn quickly and operate machinery efficiently and accurately.
The position will primarily be focused on the production of eyewear, in particular the arms of the frames. As part of a team of engineers and craftsmen, you will be helping to produce luxury bespoke eyewear which is sold in the company’s own retail stores and exported around the world.
An engineering qualification is desirable but not totally necessary. However, manufacturing experience is essential. You will be sharp, capable, hard working and a quick learner.

MANUFACTURING ENGINEER POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for eyewear production.
  • Analyse current processes and identify areas for improvement to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
  • Develop, and maintain manufacturing equipment and tooling.
  • Coordinate with team members during the production of frames to ensure optimal high quality results.
  • Be willing to learn other skills within the factory to help team members overcome bottlenecks.

MANUFACTURING ENGINEER POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field desirable but not essential.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in a manufacturing engineering role.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and continuous improvement methodologies.

    Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
