Description
The Manufacturing Engineer Technician will play a vital role in supporting the engineering team by assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes and equipment. This role demands a hands-on approach in the production environment, ensuring that processes are efficient and effective while adhering to quality standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist engineers in the design and improvement of manufacturing processes. Support the setup and transfer of new products and technologies into production. Conduct tests and evaluations to ensure compliance with specifications and guidelines. Collaborate with production staff to troubleshoot equipment and process issues. Document procedures, specifications, and test results accurately. Provide technical support and training to operators as needed. Participate in process validation and verification activities. Collect and analyze data to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality. Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality assurance protocols. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Supply Chain, and R&D, to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device sector. Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment. Good understanding of quality control principles and methodologies. Proficient in data analysis and statistical tools. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English, both oral and written. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information. Commitment to continuous improvement and willingness to learn new skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: The employee will frequently be required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Must be able to work in a manufacturing and Class 7/8 cleanroom environment, which requires specific gowning procedures. Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Work environment involves potential exposure to moving mechanical parts and controlled ESD environments.
