Trane Technologies – Thermo King in Fremont, Ohio is seeking to hire a dependable full-time Manufacturing Engineering Technician on our 1st shift which operates 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
We offer our Manufacturing Engineering Technicians a competitive wage, plus a Hiring Bonus of $400 ($200 @ 30 day/$200 @ 90 days) Hiring bonuses are paid based on attendance, meaning no missed scheduled time that cannot be covered by PTO.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or GED, Associates Degree in Applied Science Engineering Preferred
Experience: 3 years of Machining experience is preferred
Background check, and drug screening administered as a condition of employment

Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician position provides support to Manufacturing Engineering team in development, improvement, maintenance, and elimination of nonconformance in quality and manufacturing engineering processes.

  • Creates and maintains manufacturing processes for plant machinery such as CNC Programming, Lathe, and Mill Machines
  • Utilize the Lean philosophy to make improvements or troubleshoot production processes
  • Look for opportunity to eliminate nonconformance or frequent production errors

Perform tests in support of new manufacturing processes

  • Effective communication, including speaking, writing, active listening and taking instruction
  • Ability to learn, understand and adhere to standard work
  • Understands the importance of safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Responsive to internal and external customer needs
  • Quick troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Be able to read and work with blueprints and specifications
  • Knowledgeable in the use of calibration equipment
  • Perform advanced mathematical calculations including algebra and geometry
  • Be familiar with and perform basic statistical process control concepts.
  • Capable of assisting production, operators and other in maintaining quality and correcting quality problems.
  • Must be willing to participate in and attend future educational trainings as job requirements dictate
  • Must be capable of standing on concrete floors during a normal 8–10-hour schedule shift.
  • Will be required to perform bending, lifting, and reaching to efficiently perform this job.
