in joining the manufacturing team at teenage engineering you will be a part of every single product that we make, developing automation and processes to ensure we have world class quality and consistency in our products. in your role you are a crucial part in bringing our products into mass-production. as a manufacturing engineer at teenage engineering you play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of our products. your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of activities related to quality assurance, production line design and deployment, manufacturing processes, cost optimization initiatives, and providing support to multiple factories. this is a fixed-term contract position to cover for a parental leave, for about 12-14 months. main responsibilities & tasks collaborate with the product development team to ensure the manufacturability of new consumer electronic products. design and implement efficient and cost-effective production processes for new products, considering scalability and sustainability. design and optimize production lines to maximize efficiency and minimize lead times implement best practices for lean manufacturing, focusing on continuous improvement and operational excellence. analyze and address root causes of quality issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions. assist suppliers with troubleshooting when problems arise, providing timely and effective solutions to maintain smooth production processes. implement innovative technologies and automation to enhance production capabilities. travel to our manufacturing sites in asia and europe for hands-on implementation and problem solving. qualifications a university degree in a technical field, preferably electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent experience and interest in the manufacturing industry genuine knowledge of materials and production processes industry knowledge and interest for technical products understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations good knowledge in adobe creative suite, mainly illustrator and CAD preferably solidworks fluency in english to thrive and succeed in this role you enjoy working in a creative and high-paced environment. you are agile and have the ability to discover and solve problems on the spot. you are open minded and can easily manage multiple tasks, with exceptional communication and time management skills. you are a critical thinker with a serious attention to detail and are able to solve problems on your feet our philosophy we believe in culture / people / technology / discipline / curiosity / humor. we have a collective agreement “tekniktjänsteavtalet unionen/sveriges ingenjörer” and offer benefits such as an annual health care contribution and flexible work hours. placement and employment type this is a full-time position, located at our hq in stockholm. travelling to visit our manufacturing sites will be part of your job. as this position is located in stockholm, a swedish work permit is required to apply. about the company teenage engineering is developing the alternative future of consumer electronics - each invention driven by need, and built to last. from reimagining music making with the iconic OP-1 portable synthesizer and growing the synth population with the affordable pocket operator series, to rethinking listening with the OD-11 ortho directional speaker and the OB–4 magic radio, we have applied the signature mindset to a new legacy of enduring technologies.
