MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer| Department: Engineering | Reports to: Engineering Manager | FLSA Status: Exempt

JOB SUMMARY:

The Manufacturing Engineer will work with the engineering, quality, procurement, and production teams to address manufacturing processing operations. This position requires a hands-on individual capable of working on and monitoring many tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. You are a true artisan, have an eye for detail, and take pride and ownership in your work.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year, DOE.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interpret contractual requirements to develop production methods, detailed work instructions, and BOMs, then ensure transition to production personnel for the manufacturing, assembly, and testing of hardware
  • Create, review, and update Manufacturing Outlines and Work Order Documents from the original contract as necessary
  • Drive rapid improvement of observed manufacturing issues and establish processes and procedures to ensure consistently high quality and efficiency.
  • Experience evaluating Engineering Drawings and interpreting engineering standards
  • Design new equipment and fixtures as needed to validate product design and manufacturing processes
  • Work with design to ensure manufacturability of new products
  • Work with engineering, managers, and shop floor personnel
