Overview
Waters Longbridge are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing team!
Working in the newly purpose built site, the manufacturing engineer role is to set-up production processes capable of producing precision components. You will ensure robust systems are in place for the production team to continue manufacturing quality components.
The role is varied and would benefit from a multi-disciplined engineer who loves to be involved in the development of new products from DFM to production hand over, as-well as supporting the production and quality teams to understand root causes of issues and providing permanent solutions to quality defects.

Responsibilities

  • Development of new product manufacturing processes.
  • Programming, setting and running CNC equipment.
  • Creation of manufacturing standard operating procedures.
  • Identify improvement to existing manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Purchase of new/replacement manufacturing equipment.
  • Completion of NCR’s.
  • Support root cause analysis.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline and/or proven work experience in a similar role.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experienced programming, setting and operating, Multi axis milling, turning and grinding machines.
  • A good understanding of Heidenhain and Mazatrol controls would be advantageous, but not essential.
  • Experienced in the use of inspection equipment.
