EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 3+ years of experience with hands-on welding experience
  • Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Proficient in MIG, TIG, and robotic welding processes
  • Strong understanding of weld symbols, metallurgy, and weld quality standards

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Certified Welding Engineer (CWEng)
  • Experience with robotic welding systems (e.g., Fanuc, ABB, Yaskawa)
  • Familiarity with automation and PLCs in welding applications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in a regulated or high-precision industry (e.g., automotive, aerospace, agriculture)
Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

CNH Industrial in Goodfield is seeking a skilled and solutions-oriented Manufacturing Engineer with expertise in welding processes to drive continuous improvement, ensure weld quality, and support production efficiency. This role focuses on applying technical knowledge and hands-on problem-solving to optimize welding operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Welding Process Optimization

  • Develop, implement, and refine welding processes (MIG, TIG, robotic, and manual) to improve quality, reduce cycle time, and minimize waste.
  • Select appropriate welding techniques, materials, and equipment for various applications

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure welding operations meet internal standards and external certifications (e.g., AWS, ISO).
  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for weld-related defects.

Production Support

  • Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot welding issues and provide technical guidance.
  • Support new product introductions by developing weld procedures and tooling requirements.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead or participate in Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives focused on welding and fabrication.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and implement process improvements.

Documentation & Training

  • Create and maintain weld procedures, work instructions, and training materials.
  • Train operators and technicians on best practices and safety standards.
