This Position reports to:

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES (MANDATORY)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Reliagear Switchboard Production organization’s assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, team performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget.
The work model for the role is: Onsite

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Develop, configure, and optimize manufacturing processes from material reception through production, testing, and packaging.
  • Oversee standardization and lean-based improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Implement and uphold manufacturing standards and procedures.
  • Optimize production layouts and floor space to enhance workflow and productivity.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Work with the team to monitor and improve key production metrics, including cycle time, yield, and cost.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff.
  • Ensure appropriate production methods, cycle-time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets.
  • Provide documentation of processes, visual and quality standards, including the creation of operating instructions where required.
  • Eliminate ergonomic hazards

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent diploma with strong experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in the electrical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP
